Doing all the right things isn’t enough

Hey Reader,

There was a season where I thought I was doing everything “right”. I was journaling, visualizing, affirming, scripting, staying consistent...all while still feeling frustrated and stuck.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was still trying to "prove" I was ready, worthy or aligned enough through my actions to receive what I deeply desired.

I had unknowingly turned my spiritual practices into another performance...silently hoping that if I just did them hard enough, God or the Universe would reward me.

Underneath all of it was fear. Fear that I wouldn’t be chosen. Fear that I was somehow disqualified. Fear that I had to hustle even in my healing.

It wasn’t until I slowed down enough to get honest that I realized I was still operating from survival… not trust. And survival will have you chasing peace instead of becoming it.

What I’ve learned is… it’s not about doing more, it’s about being someone different while you do anything.

Survival mode isn’t always loud and dramatic..it can show up in the most innocent, automated responses.

Like saying “yes” because you’re afraid of missing out, even though you’re running on fumes.

Like the constant scanning of your environment for what might go wrong, instead of trusting what’s going right.

Like not being able to rest in silence without spiraling into anxious thoughts.

There was a profound shift in my life the moment I stopped obsessing over solving my own problems and began asking, “How can I serve someone else with what I’ve already survived?”

But then I remembered the good news: I wasn’t created to perform my way into peace, success, or love. I was created to become a vessel for it and to embody the overflow I was praying for.

I share the full breakdown in this video:

Happy Sunday Reader, I’ve been sitting with a lot of clarity lately around relationships, habits, and old versions of myself that I tried to carry longer than I needed to. There were situations I held on to simply because I had history with them, as if time was enough to justify effort even after the alignment was gone. For years, I thought that made me loyal and dependable. What I see now is that I was often ignoring the part of me that already knew it was time to let go. Staying too long...

Hi Reader Something has been shifting in the way I move lately. There’s a calm that comes when I stop needing to figure everything out and start trusting what’s already guiding me. I used to think alignment meant being in perfect control of my timing, my plans, my next move. Now it feels more like letting the stream of life carry me where it’s already going. I’ve been feeling this deep reminder that peace doesn’t have to be earned and clarity doesn’t have to be chased. The same power that...

Hi Reader, I currently have a video going viral of a very random prayer I just so happened to turn my video on and record... I am still in the process of seeing how much of my spiritual practice has been shaped around the idea of earning outcomes. Even in my prayers, I used to subconsciously negotiating with God, offering my effort in exchange for favor. I realize NOW that it is the result from patriarchal programming that tells me I must work hard and earn my worth. I wanted miracles but I...
