Works like magic

Hi Reader,

Not that long ago, I remember trying to make my life make sense, looking at my money, my options, my timing, trying to piece together a path that felt solid. Every version I came up with only worked if everything lined up perfectly, which made it really clear that I was trying to solve something from a level that was always going to feel limited because I was only using what I could currently see to decide what was possible.

When we operate like that, everything naturally starts to feel tight and forced, because we're shrinking something that doesn’t actually have limits down to our current circumstances.

What shifted for me was realizing that what I’m looking at right now isn’t the cause of anything, it’s the result, and trying to fix it directly just keeps me looping in the same patterns because I’m still operating from the same place that created it.

Instead of trying to control the path or map out every step, I got clear on what I actually wanted in a way that felt real and specific, and then I noticed how quickly my mind wanted to jump in and assign a “how” to it.

Now, when something shows up that doesn’t match what I want, I treat it as feedback instead of something to fight, which keeps me from reacting and recreating the same experience again.

When I feel triggered or overwhelmed, I slow things down enough to respond instead of react. When something shows up that doesn’t look like what I expected, I stay open to it longer instead of dismissing it, because I’ve seen how often things arrive in ways I wouldn’t have predicted.

The biggest shift for me though has been letting go of needing to know how any of this is going to happen, because trying to figure it out has never actually given me clarity, it has only given me more ways to doubt and more things to overthink.

If you're open to something practical to sit with today, you can write down what you actually want, and then underneath it write, “I’m clear on what I want, and I trust the path that brings it to me." Notice where your mind tries to jump back into control and gently bringing yourself back to that decision.

That single shift has been wildly transformative for me and I trust it can be for you too!

With So Much Love,

Meg

Hi Reader! I am trusting that you have had a week filled with love, joy and a lot of clarity about what your next steps are. Lately I've been discussing faith a lot, and what it truly means in practice. Faith often means abandoning understanding "why" you're doing something. The inner prompt comes first and then the understanding follows. Often times we feel compelled to do (or not do) a certain thing and then we allow our "logical mind" to deter us away from what we were nudged about. It's...

Hi Reader, This week, I drove to Durham to meet a man named Jeff McSwain who has a retreat center, specifically designed for spiritual offerings to the community. I was curious to explore a venue for an event that God placed in my heart last year. What happened during our visit was profound.. Jeff is a PhD theologian who studied at St. Andrews. He has spent his entire adult life writing about identity, human transformation, and what he calls the belovedness we all carry as human beings. He...
