We get to choose this week

Hi Reader,

There’s a moment most of us know well, the one right before a new week starts, where dread starts creeping in ahead of schedule. We start running through all of our obligations, responsibilities and deadlines before they arrive. The inbox messages that need a response, the conversation(s) that need to be had, phone calls that need to be made, issues that need following up on that we've been avoiding. We sometimes unconciously envision and brace for a negative version of the week before it’s had a chance to go right.

The only thing that's absolutely true is that the week hasn’t happened yet. Nothing about what’s ahead is written. The only thing deciding how it goes is the energy we walk into it with, and that energy is something we get to choose, not something that happens to us. Dread is a rehearsal for a future that hasn’t arrived. Expectancy is the same rehearsal, aimed in a better direction. Only one of them serves us.

Before we close our eyes tonight, let's name one way we are hopefully expecting this week to unfold. Maybe it’s a conversation that moves in the direction we’ve been praying for. Maybe it’s a moment of unexpected ease in a week we anticipated would be hard. Maybe it’s simply the felt sense that we are being taken care of, even in the parts we can’t control yet. Whatever it is, let's give a little gratitude prayer like it’s already settled. Our life organizes itself around what we already believe about it.

This is the exact practice we embody every single day inside the Quantum Prayer Circle. We gather as a community that has decided dread doesn’t get the final word, and we choose, together, to walk into whatever is ahead with expectancy instead of fear. Some days that’s easy. Some days it takes the whole group to hold that frequency for us until we can hold it ourselves. We’d love to have us join us.

Have a spectacular week,

With So Much Love,

Meg

Hey Reader, Two headlines found their way to me this month, which says a lot for someone who lives a mostly TV free life, and together they paint a vivid picture of where so many of us are standing right now. The first comes from the Census Bureau. More Americans applied to start a business in the first half of 2026 than in any first half on record, with more than three million applications filed by midyear. Most of these are one person businesses, someone taking a skill, an idea or a talent...

Hi Reader, Before this week, I had never hosted an international retreat. I had attended retreats, led groups, facilitated transformation, and held space for people in many different ways, but producing and leading an international retreat was entirely new territory for me. I could have used my lack of experience as a reason to keep postponing the vision, but I trusted my ability to organize, lead, solve problems, and adjust when necessary. The only way to become experienced was to host the...

Hi Reader, There is a question worth asking ourselves because the answer can shed light on how we can serve and how we create impact and income from our gifts. In 2 Kings 4, a widow goes to Elisha under very real pressure. Her husband has died, debt remains, and a creditor is coming to take her two sons as payment. Her mind is naturally fixed on what she is about to lose, but Elisha redirects her attention with one question. “What do you have in your house?” Her first response is almost...
